Pick Your Passion.

By on Jul 17, 2013 in Challenges for Start-ups, Entrepreneurship

Passion comes first! Certainly it does but how many of us can actually manage to keep it first

Passion – The word suggests excitement to do something, obsession to chase and achieve something! And passion is something which only results into satisfaction of mind n heart. Most of the people who follow passion don’t worry much about monetary gains. And even they do not suggest so, well it seems to work that ways.

I have seen so many passionate people around me, who just leave it at that follow their heart. I am sure it brings lot of faith is thyself. I have been one of a like – called quits to follow my heart and here I am handling the highs n lows of entrepreneurship. It feels different when you cut down on your pockets to follow your heart and it feels special when you do it happily because you agree that it is the choice you made and it feels awful when you surround yourself with lot of negativity and allow circumstances to overlap yourself – the one with lot of faith.

TAKING BREAK is FINE.

I lost it for some time now, was just so out of it. Even today I am not totally into it but still the words are flowing because deep down – I am a silly person with lot of holding on my dreams. And plus my parents, partner and friends have got some weird thing to remind me always – if not today then tomorrow but it surely belongs to you.

As a result, I end up mulling, working, dreaming, slogging today in the search of that great tomorrow. But somewhere I agree – if not today then tomorrow surely belong to you. But somehow I strongly agree that when the direction is not clear – one should rather STOP.

Practically, if you are not able to excel in your passion – you need to change the route and you rather do it now. And believe me that don’t mean that you are not good at it, it only suggests that you are not able to execute it well or may be this is not the time. In such a situation – sit back, take a deep breath and discover what you can be good at, where you can see yourself if not here, in this not so suitable situation.

OVERCOME the FEARS

Overcoming the fears is primarily important for your success. The fear to loose, to go wrong – destroys the beauty of a project, diminishes the excitement and finishes at a jerk. Avoid the situation – overcome your fears. Start on a healthy note, do not make false promises to attract clients, offer value for money services, say ‘no’ if the situation demands. Take these small steps to overcome your fears and to work smartly.

Do not look for inspiration to come. Go get one, explore every day and innovate. Be it your business, your hobby, your dream – you need to be committed to it.Keep it running. Keep the fears at bay.

SPEND TIME with YOURSELF. Go BACK.

Many a times it is been seen that we get so involved with life that we forget to sit & ponder – what we like/liked, what we would like to do, meeting an old friend or ever saying ‘Hi’ to him/her. Going back to these simple pleasures of life is most important. If you are not doing it – you are in a big problem.

Relax, and try that coffee/maggi which you loved in your college hostel. Is it been long – your haven’t tried a new haircut or is it time to change your wardrobe – go do it. How many times do you think about this friend of yours and never actually took the phone to call or even message him/her? Don’t ponder over it, so what if she may be busy or occupied – I am sure she will call up once she gets some time and if not, do your bit and feel happy about it.

You can try Going Back by trying these little bits –

  1. Avoid Social Network – It is good to be connected but you can always switch from nominal to real connections.
  2. Meet Friends – I so much feel the lacunae of having met my friends and hanging around with them.
  3. Go on a Holiday – You need not plan a big & heavy one. A light break from daily routine can help to get back to yourself
  4. Spend time with family – Try home recreation with parents, your spouse and remind yourself that how long it has been that you laughed in this way.
  5. Say ‘No’ – Say ‘no’ to few bits which you are not completely convinced to take up and settle them on your comeback.

Pick your Passion. Keep your faith. Follow your heart. Take it easy and experience magic.
